On Saturday I went on a walk with Mel and Sean in Carbon Canyon. A fire went through the area a while ago and so the looming trees they remembered were no longer there... but there was plenty of wild mustard. Sean was our bird-watching tour guide and I think we found all the posted birds from the entrance hiking sign. I was on mountain lion watch and Mel was on rattlesnake and gopher duty. Whew, we survived! And it was fun :)
