A drowning has occurred

I think I have a 'special' watermelon plant.

It's grown for about 4-5 months now....slow growth....but steady. Today was a doozy though- it became submerged. I don't think that's the ideal condition for a watermelon plant. It's back there under the water where you can't really see it. The mint seems to like its bath though. Let's hope this isn't the beginning of a slow watermelon death.
