For Christ suffered/died once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit

1 Peter 3:18

We touched on the verse this morning in church and I've been thinking about it today. I am so very thankful that Christ did the work of salvation. Not us. We couldn't earn it if we tried. We don't need to try. He brings us to God. He cleans us. He makes us righteous.
