Mandy and I received this incredible basil plant Monday of this week as a gift.. come Wednesday, the leaves were droopy, browning, and falling off. Our solution -since it's hot, let's water it some more. This morning we decided the situation was direr. Action was warranted. Thus, I googled 'how to keep a basil plant alive' and found interesting information. Fact #1: it needs 6-8 hours of sunlight a day, facing an eastern window during the morning and a western window in the afternoon. Hmm, this is a problem though because we only have windows facing north and we don't get any direct light. Thus our solution for the morning sunlight hours -opening the front door:
Fact #2:don't over-water it. It's one of the most fragile herbs and needs adequate drainage... hmmm. We'll work on that.
Bailey shall prevail!
